• How do I know if I can tap to pay with my First Entertainment Visa Card?

  Look for the Contactless Indicator on your card to know if you can use tap to pay for purchases.

• What are the benefits of contactless payments?

  Contactless payments are easy. Simply tap the contactless card on the contactless-enabled checkout. You'll find it's fast and convenient to use in places where you need to pay on the go. And, just like transactions made with a chip card, each contactless card transaction is accompanied by a one-time code that protects you and secures your transaction information.

  Unlike cash, contactless payments help you keep better track of your purchases. You can still do everything you would do with another credit or debit card, including adding a tip, getting cash back (if available), and more.

• Do I actually have to tap my contactless card on the contactless-enabled terminal?

  No. However, the card should be close (within 1-2 inches) to the Contactless Symbol located on the terminal.

• How do I hold my contactless card to the contactless-enabled terminal?

  The terminal reads the card best when its flat over the Contactless Symbol, versus holding it at an angle.

• How long do I need to hold my contactless card to the contactless-enable terminal?

  You should hold your card over the Contactless Symbol for 1-2 seconds.

• Can I unknowingly make a purchase if I am in close proximity to a contactless-enabled terminal?

  No. Contactless technology requires the merchant to first initiate the payment and then the card must be within close proximity to the terminal for the transaction to take place.

• Is the technology similar to mobile wallets, like Apply Pay ^® ?

  Yes. Contactless payments use the same one-time, encrypted token technology as mobile wallets.

  Plus, every credit card transaction made has Zero Liability protection ^* so you’re not liable for unauthorized transactions.

• Can I make contactless purchases using my First Entertainment Visa Debit Card?

  Yes, but you must add your debit card to your phone's mobile wallet in order to do so.

• I have a First Entertainment Credit Card without the Contactless Indicator on it, can I make a contactless payment?

  No, your card needs to display the Contactless Indicator on it to support contactless payments. However, when your card is reissued, it will support tap to pay purchases and contactless payments.
